About Tobias Herwig
Tobias Herwig is the founder and host of Fabrik der Zukunft, a leading German-language podcast on the future of manufacturing. In more than 270 conversations with plant managers, operations leaders, technology experts, and senior executives, he has developed a broad, practice-driven perspective on industrial transformation.
His career began in factory planning and process optimisation. He later held leadership roles in a software company specialising in production and logistics, headed a business unit for factory planning, and took executive responsibility in management consulting. He also teaches factory planning at university level.
This combination of engineering, consulting, software, and leadership experience enables Tobias to connect technology and innovation with the realities of production. As a moderator, he brings industry knowledge, a strong network, and a clear focus on practical relevance, strategic implications, and successful implementation.
